Editorial standards and corrections

Open Tech Academy publishes practical technology guides and project updates for people who are learning. These standards explain how we approach accuracy, transparency, and corrections.

Accuracy and sourcing

We aim to make each article clear, useful, and factually sound. When a claim depends on a technical standard, a product, research, or another outside source, we check the original source when it is available and link to it when that helps readers verify or learn more.

Technology changes quickly. We review and update material information when we learn it has changed or was incomplete.

Corrections and updates

If we make a meaningful correction, we update the article and its last-updated date. When context matters, we add a short note explaining what changed. If you spot an error or have information that could improve an article, email help@opentechacademy.org.

Independence and disclosures

We label sponsored content, affiliate relationships, donations, partnerships, or other material connections that could reasonably affect how readers interpret an article. We also disclose material use of AI tools when it meaningfully shapes a published article.

Opinions and recommendations are presented as our own. We do not present paid placement as independent editorial coverage.
