About the blog
The Open Tech Academy blog shares practical guides, project updates, and lessons from our students and educators.
What we publish
You will find beginner-friendly explainers, field notes from real projects, workshop updates, and honest lessons from building technology in public. We focus on useful ideas that help you understand how something works and what to try next.
Our publishing principles
- Start with the beginner. We explain unfamiliar terms before using them.
- Show the work. When a guide comes from a project, we share the decisions and tradeoffs behind it.
- Keep access open. Articles are free to read, without ads, paywalls, or upsells.
- Correct the record. Technology changes, and people make mistakes. We update articles when better information becomes available.
